Rick Lumadue passed away on October 29th, 2019. He was born August 11, 1954 in Des Moines to Alfred and Goldie (Hopkins) Lumadue.

Rick enjoyed the simple things in life, like chatting on the phone with his close friends, fishing, and watching a good tv show with his wife. He always had a pot of coffee on and if anyone walked through the front door, he would offer them a glass of chocolate milk. He was the light in a lot of peoples’ lives. He loved his family, and he will truly be missed by everyone.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Lumadue; son, Scott Lumadue; daughter, Theresa Roberts; and three grandkids, Tyler Lumadue, Allison Lumadue, Luca Roberts.

A celebration of life will be held from 1:00 – 4:00 pm on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th St., Des Moines.

Mike and I were just about him the other day and wondering how you all were doing. He was a very important part of AC Contractors and a very good friend. He loved his family very much and you all were very important to him R.I.P Rick

I miss my dad so very much. I lost my buddy. He would want everyone to know that- you are born and you die. What do you do with the time in between is what is important. Live humbled and grateful. Be okay. Be happy. Smile and laugh. Love your family. He will miss us all, but he will never be to far away. Dad-
