Ms. Ruth G. Anderson

Ruth Gwendolyn Anderson, age 98, passed away Monday, October 28, 2019 at Manor Care Health Services in West Des Moines.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., with a time of sharing at 3:30 p.m., Sunday, November 3, 2019 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 4, 2019 at Maple Street Baptist Church, 1552 Maple Street, Des Moines, and will conclude with burial at Glendale Cemetery.
Ruth was born August 21, 1921 in Des Moines, Iowa to William and Cornelia (Banks) Anderson. She is survived by her children, Patricia Dixon, Ronald Anderson, Denise Anderson, Dennis Anderson, Sherri (Maurice) White, Kathy Smith, and Donna Anderson, twelve grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren, other loving relatives and many special friends.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, William and Cornelia Anderson and her daughter, Deborah Anderson Reddick.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the family to be distributed amongst numerous charities that Ruth enjoyed.

Mother Anderson is truly with Our Lord walking around Heaven flashing that beautiful, beautiful smile! From the moment I met her, I felt I had known her all my life - her kindness, caring, loving demeanor was so unique. My deepest sympathy to Kathy, Sherri and the entire family.
