Delores Waldron

Delores Luann (Dickey) Waldron, age 87, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2019.

Delores was born June 18, 1932. She graduated from East High School in Des Moines and retired from Northwestern Bell/U.S. West where she worked as a customer service representative for 35 years. She was a long-time member of Unity Lutheran Church where she served as the financial secretary for several years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John; parents, Charles and Thora Dickey; sister, Norma Hopkins; and brother, Charles Dickey, Jr.

She is survived by her sons, Steven (Karla) and David; grandchildren, Trevor (Alicia) and Nicole; and great-grandchildren, Reagan, Kennedy, and Sloan.

Services will be held at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 30, 2019. Funeral service will be 9:00 a.m. Thursday, October 31, 2019, followed by burial at Glendale Cemetery, Des Moines.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the Animal Rescue League.
