Frederick "Freddie" Dacken, Jr.

Frederick Frank (Freddie) Dacken Jr, age 56, passed away Sunday October 20, from a heart attack.
Freddie was born June 25, 1963 in Des Moines, to Fred and Jackie Dacken. He lived in Norwoodville most of his life.
Freddie was a wonderful father, grandpa, brother, uncle and a friend to everyone. He worked for himself, owning his tree cutting service for over 30 years. He was resilient, funny, super ornery and a very loyal man. He enjoyed spending time with his family, dog sissy (which he recently lost), friends, being outside and fishing. He will be greatly missed.
Freddie is survived by his children, Dustin (Laura) Dacken, Chad Orr, Cody (Heaven) Dacken, his grandchildren, Caleb and Kenzie; along with his siblings Debbie Delmege, Tina (Mike) Beerbower, Tammy Brandt, Donnie (Allie) Dacken and Angi (Mike) German as well as many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred Dacken Sr and Jackie Dacken-Ashley, brother in law Jerry and nephew Stevie.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, October 25, 2019, at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines.

Fred so sorry you are gone you where always exciting when fishing was never to sure where we were going sometimes even if we were supposed to be there thanks for all the good times

In your time of sadness I will pray you find some comfort. I only had a few conversations with Fred. And I m Pretty sure he kicked my butt in a couple games of pool. MY THOUGHTS ABOUT FRED - ONERY, However Fred Cared about people. He was just a good guy he will be missed . be many.

Fred you always came took care of my trees at drop of hat. When I say I can't pay you until i get paid you reply say its ok then I know have money in bank. You took my girls in when they was upset with mom but told them don't bad mouth your mom around me. Thank you for being a good friend to my family. Thanks for giving Cody to my daughter

So sorry for this families loss. Freddie was a genuine guy. I had the pleasure of meeting Freddie years ago when he cut down trees for us. Unfortunately it caused him to lose use of his arm but non the less he remained a good friend.

It just goes to show always take the time to stay in touch. I'm going miss you my crazy life time friend. I'm sure my mom is happy to see you.

My Heart goes out to the Family ?? and all who Loved him. I had the Pleasure of meeting Fred when I worked with Karlene at Smokey's. He was always nice to me and such a ornery and funny guy. May you continue to be you Fred. Time to Rest ??
