Dena Elizabeth Hertsgaard, 65, Des Moines, Iowa, died Monday, October 7, 2019. She was born March 24, 1954, in Moline, Illinois. She attended DMACC and retired from John Deere Credit. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, father, and her beloved brothers Floyd and Randy Hertsgaard. She is survived by her close friends, neighbors and colleagues.

Dena was a gifted artist with a wonderful sense of humor and a love for her cats. She will be missed dearly by those who knew her best for her huge heart, creativity, love of the Young and the Restless, and her banana muffins.

She wished for her friends to gather to share stories and to keep her memory alive in a private service.
