Steven Therrien

Steven Therrien, age 65, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2019.

He was born April 9, 1954 in East Providence, RI to Ronald and Dolores Therrien. He earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology and electrical. He got married on August 6, 1983 to Joan (Altemeier), and divorced in 2000. His hobbies included computers, photography, art and music. He was an animal lover and he liked gardening and choir/theater. His greatest joy in life was his family, especially his grandkids.

Steve is survived by his children, Jeff (Shay) and Stacey (Blair); grandchildren, Layla, Blayke, and Hunter; the mother of his children, Joan Larimer; mother, Dolores; and his brother, Ron (Edie).

He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald and his daughter, Stephanie.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., followed by funeral service at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, September 22, 2019 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Animal Rescue League in loving memory of Steve.
