Nicholas Montelongo

Nicholas Matthew Montelongo, 31, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at his home. He was born in Des Moines on February 7, 1988 to Jorge and Alisa Montelongo

Nick attended Lincoln High School and DMACC. He enjoyed playing and watching sports and working out, but most importantly to him was spending time with son, Keke.

Nick is survived by his parents, Jorge Montelongo and Alisa (Herb Williams) Montelongo; son, Christian “Keke” Montelongo; mother of his son, Michelle Giddings; siblings, Brandon, Erik (Amanda) and Adrianna Montelongo; niece and nephews, Ayden, Khloie, Olyver and Gryffin; grandmother “G-Mally”, Patricia Kruger; uncles, Everett (Dixie) Kruger and John (Tammy) Kruger; many cousins, extended family and loving friends.

Nick was preceded in death by his grandfather, Leo Kruger.

Family will greet friends on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th St., in Des Moines. A celebration of life will take place at 12:00 p.m. with burial to follow at Norwalk Cemetery, in Norwalk, Iowa.
