Frances P. Anderson

Frances Phyllis Anderson was born August 22, 1934 in Madrid, Iowa to Bernard and Mary (Hornick) Anderson.

She was a dedicated worker for an insurance company during her working years and in her free time, she was an avid gambler. Above all else, Frances treasured time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Frances passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at the age of 85.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Melinda (Patrick) Leonard and Monica Chia; grandchildren, Matthew, Charles, and Vanessa; and her great-grandchildren, Taylor, Xavier, Xander, Xaylan, and Trinity.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Mary Anderson and her sisters, Arlene Negrete and Janie Larson.

According to Frances’ wishes, cremation will occur and there will be no formal services held. A private family burial will take place at Woodland Cemetery in Des Moines at a later date.
