Linda J. Scott

Linda Joyce Scott passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at the age of 74. She was born October 1, 1944 to Herman and Violet (Thomas) Bailey in Des Moines, Iowa. Linda attended Des Moines Public Schools and was a caretaker to many people over the years. She was one of six siblings: Guy (Pat) Bailey, Billie Johnson, Wanda Sherman, Caroline Bailey, and Larry Bailey.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Jeff Batman, Jennifer Schermerhorn, and Joseph (Angela) Riggs; grandchildren, Justin Flanders, Jesse Flanders, Charlie Flanders, Crystal Flanders, Anthony Britt, James Riggs, Corey Deaton, and Katie; great-grandchildren, Anthony, Aliyah, & Ariana Flanders, Aila McKenzie, Ali, & Jaxson Flanders; and her sister, Wanda Sherman.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Scott; parents, Herman and Violet Bailey; brothers, Guy and Larry Bailey; and sisters, Caroline Bailey and Billie Johnson.
