Sarah Elizabeth Geiger, 39, was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on September 24, 1979 and died in Altoona, Iowa on September 3, 2019.
Sarah is survived by her husband, John; daughter, Molly; parents, Tom and Joann (Patak) Maly; siblings, Chris (Sara Ann) Maly, Rebecca (Chris) Schimming and John (Signe Newman) Maly; nieces and nephews, Max, Maddie, Devon, Shelton, K.J., Cole, Norah, Sadie, Maren, Abel and Harriet; parents-in-law, Dan (Austina) Geiger and Denise Geiger (David Blue); other loving relatives, in-laws and many special friends.
She was preceded in death by her rescue dog, Angel.
Sarah loved Howard Stern, Diet Coke and her Marlboro Lights.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 6, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. at Ss John and Paul Catholic Church, 1401 1st Ave. South, Altoona, Iowa, with a Wake Service to begin at 8 pm. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday September 7, 2019 at the church, with visitation one hour prior. Cremation has occurred and there is no burial planned at this time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa at www.arl-iowa.org in loving memory of Sarah.

I was floored when I finally got around to opening my Facebook and saw her picture first which brightened my day and then the devastating news. It seems like yesterday when she married John and had Molly. My condolences go out to John and Molly and the rest of her family which she spoke of very highly. A star ?? has dimmed in her everlasting beautiful memory. I am truly in a daze...not that lively little angel Sarah. May her memory be eternal. I know she is looking down and smiling on her lovely family and friends!

Very sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in the Bible at Acts 24:15 And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both righteous and the unrighteous.

I knew Sarah from work in LA
She was first my nice, funny boss. It wasnt long before we became friends, and work family.
She had an amazing smile. She always saw the good in people, and that was very admirable .
I pray that God watches over her family she left behind.
Rest In Peace Sarah. You are missed.

I was so very lucky to know Sarah. Lots of games of poker, fun bar nights in LA and always so much laughter. She made everything fun. Im grateful for the time that we got to hang out. My thoughts are with the family in this very sad time.

I did not have the privilege of meeting Sarah, but have seen much of her story through Austina and Dan. Beautiful Molly with her smiles will have another struggle to face. My thoughts are with the entire family in this time of loss.
