Dianne Hansen

Dianne LaVon Hansen, age 77, passed away Friday, August 23, 2019.

Dianne was born December 15, 1941 in Webster City, Iowa to Fred and Dorothy (Baker) Siders. Family was everything to Dianne; they were her heart. She loved the many family vacations they took, traveling in the U. S. and abroad. Her hobbies included bowling, cake decorating, and scrapbooking. Dianne was an animal lover, especially dogs and birds. Her motto was “pay it forward”.

Dianne is survived by her daughter, Shelly Hansen Sholley; grandsons, Joshua (Amanda), Steven II (Mercedes), and Nathaniel; granddaughter, Stacey; and many great-grandchildren. She is also survived by four sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, and many other loving family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Dorothy Siders; brothers, Joseph and Fred; sister, Lee Ann; and her husband, Eugene Hansen.

There will be a visitation from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Cremation will follow.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made directly to the family to assist with expenses.
