Terry Dean Cleland

Terry Dean Cleland passed away August 21, 2019 at his home in Des Moines, Iowa.

Terry was born July 27, 1964 in Winterset, Iowa to John and Mildred Cleland. He attended school in Winterset and ‘was a cute little blonde headed boy who loved his hot wheels. He carried them with him everywhere in a suitcase. Terry loved to garden, fish, camp, and help others. He was very kind hearted. He treated Jennette’s grandchildren like they were his own.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Linda Kilmer; and nephews, Lee Myers and Cortney Lynam. He is survived by his girlfriend, Jennette Berge of Des Moines, IA; his siblings, Dwight Cleland of Des Moines, Loraine Hathaway and Harold of Altoona, Deloris Manser and Bill of Truro, IA, Donna Pearson of Winterset, IA, Diana Lynam of Lorimor, IA, Donald Folck of Fort Madison, IA, Dorothy “Dee” Myers and LeRoy of Truro, IA, Marvin Folck of Alamogorda, NM, Carolyn Blair and Darrell of Winterset, IA; and a host of nieces and nephew that loved Terry very much.

A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, October 5, 2019 at St. Charles Lion’s Hall at 2:00 p.m. followed by burial at St. Charles Cemetery. A luncheon will follow the burial.
