Larry Darling

Larry Russell Darling, 68, of Des Moines passed away January 12, 2007 at IMMC.
Larry was born on December 21, 1938 in Fontanelle, Iowa, to the late Russell R. and Mary Irene (Daughenbaugh) Darling. He married Judith M. Bergstrom in 1959 on May 9th. He worked as a General Foreman, Diesel Supervisor, and Mechanic In Charge for various railroads. Larry retired in 1999.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Max & David, & his son James Dean. Larry is survived by Judy,
his wife of forty-seven years; his sisters Lorraine & Mary Rose; brothers Steve & Robert; his daughter
Susan of Des Moines and her sons, Justin, Cyle, & Brandon, & her husband Carlin; his son Jeff of Conway, AR & his two children, Lindsay & Matt, & his wife, Andrea; his son Chris & his children Andreas, Whitney, & Calvin of Des Moines; his son David & wife Amy & children David Jr. & Nicole of Des Moines. Larry also has two great- grandchildren, Tristan & Gabriel children of Justin & Tana Darling.
Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, January 16th from 1 to 4 pm at Hamilton's Southtown Funeral Home on 5400 SW 9th, Des Moines, IA. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials to Iowa Health Hospice preferred.
