Raymond “Bugs” R. Villalobos, 74, of Pleasant Hill was born March 9, 1935 and passed away at his home March 11, 2009, surrounded by family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 2009 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Raymond served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a roofer for Woods Roofing and retired from Drake Roofing in 2001. He was a member of the American Mexican Bowling League and an original member of the American Legion Hispanic Lodge Post 731.
Raymond loved spending time with his family, talking to friends, Mexican dancing, having lunch with his mother-in-law, Nadine Bachman, and sharing his wisdom with the younger generation.
Raymond is survived and will be greatly missed by his wife Carole; his children, Marybeth (William) Lawson, John Villalobos and Alicia (Anthony) Arpy; step-children, Steve (Bobbi Chiles) Hebron and Russ (Ronda) Lindley; 11 grandchildren, five step-grand children; a great-grandchild and one on the way; many nieces and nephews; sisters, Gloria (Bill) Burdick and Benita (Chach) Quijano; brothers, Fred (Nellie), Paul (Frances) and Leo (Kathy) Villalobos. He was preceded in death by his parents, Martina and Benjamin; brothers, Jesse and Antonio; sisters, Louise and Frances; his daughter, Jessica; and former spouse, Nila Kenny.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
