Keegan Matthew Huhn was born on Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at 3:34 p.m. to proud parents David and Jenny Huhn at the Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. He weighed 8 pounds, 11 ounces and was 20.5 inches long. He had beautiful big blue eyes, light blond hair and a cute little mohawk.

Keegan’s family was blessed with almost 5 months with him before he went to his heavenly home at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, July 26, 2019. In that short time, everyone who met him was able to experience Keegan’s contagious smile, his cheerful laugh, sweet giggles, and engaged in many conversations with him. Keegan was deeply loved by everyone who met and spent time with him. Keegan will always remain his parents’ precious baby.

Keegan is survived by his parents, David and Jenny Huhn; his sister, Kara Williams; his paternal grandparents, David and Mary Jo Huhn; his maternal grandmother, Mary Jane Williams; great grandparents, Keven Meagher and Phyllis Williams; aunts and uncles, Daniel Huhn, Christopher (Minh) Huhn, Nicholas (Stormi) Huhn, Katie Huhn, Molly Huhn, Sam Huhn, Alan Williams, Jill Williams, Jack Williams, John Williams; cousins, Oliver Huhn, Emma Williams, Ivy Williams, Esmeralda Rayner, Estrella Rayner, Elijah Rayner, Jameson Williams, Julianna Williams; great aunts and uncles, Tom Lenoch, Ellen (Jerry) Emmerich, Frank (Karen) Lenoch, Mike (Janet) Lenoch, Pat (Jim) Landry, JT (Ellen) Lenoch, John (Kris) Lenoch, Terri (Mark) Kysely, Sally (Brad) Riebel; and many others. Keegan was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Donn Allan Williams; great grandparents, Peter James and Kathryne Lenoch, Tom and Betty Huhn, Helen Meagher and Bob Williams; great aunt, Ann Lenoch.

A prayer service will be held at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, August 1, 2019, followed by visitation until 7:00 p.m., at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines, IA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Ambrose Cathedral, 607 High St, Des Moines, IA, at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 2, 2019 with Fr. John Bertogli presiding. Family and friends will gather at Hamilton’s Funeral Home following mass for a luncheon and time of fellowship. Those congregated for the luncheon will leave from Hamilton’s at 2:45 p.m. to process to Laurel Hill Cemetery, Des Moines, IA where burial will take place at 3:34 p.m.
