Christine Strable

Christine Louise Strable, 44, of Polk City, died Friday, January 12, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center of complications to diabetes. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Polk City, burial will take place in Union Cemetery in Polk City. Visitation will be after 10 a.m. on Monday, at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, with the family present from 4 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
Christine was born May 1, 1962 in Des Moines. She married Rusty Strable on May 17, 1997, and to this marriage two children were born; Coty and Benjamin. She was a member of the Polk City Fire and Rescue. Christine enjoyed cooking, fishing, talking on the phone, sewing, camping, and spending time with family. Christine always put others first.
Christine is survived by her husband, Rusty of Polk City; her daughters, Crystal (Robert) Malloy of Polk City and Coty at home; her mother, Faith Shaw of Des Moines; her mother-in-law, Bettylee Miller of Polk City; her father-in-law, Russell Strable of Creston; her sister-in-law Kristie (Merle) McKinzie of Polk City; her grandchildren, Alexa Christine and Riley both of Polk City; her sisters, Michelle Carlson, Susie (Gary) Voyce, and Patty Shaw all of Des Moines; her brother, Rob (Kate) Shaw of Des Moines and her brother, Tim Shaw of Colorado. She was preceded in death by her son, Benjamin LeRoy, her father, Robert Shaw, and her grandparents.
