Carolyn Ann Cowie
July 23, 2019
Carolyn Cowie peacefully went to heaven wrapped in her daughter’s arms on Tuesday, July 23, 2019.
Anyone who had the honor to meet or know Carolyn, could feel her pure gentle soul. Her love was deep and abundant………She taught me what unconditional love really was.
Carolyn was born the youngest of 5 children – the apple of her Daddy’s eye. Being much younger than her sisters, she would sometimes charm their boyfriends until they asked the sister if she could go along on some of their dates – too adorable to say “no” to, she always got to ride in the middle, next to the boyfriend, of course!
She met and fell in love with Kenny, the man who would be her husband, father of her two children, and best friend and love of her life, as she was to him. Their love story was filled with all that life brings…..ups, downs, twists, and turns, but through it all their love was always at the core. Even after he passed in 2002, she felt his love profoundly present and with her always.
Carolyn, “my mama” was more than my mom. She was my best friend and life teacher even without saying a word, just by watching her live her life. I know she will always be inside of my heart and my soul – but her I miss her voice already.
Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Croix Hospice, 1555 SE Delaware Ave, Ankeny, IA 50021.

Very sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in the Bible at Revelation 21:4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.
