Keith Ellis, 46, was born November 26, 1962. He passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at Broadlawns Hospital in Des Moines.
Keith enjoyed fishing, cooking, woodworking and fixing things. He also loved collecting baseball and footballs cards as well as coins.
Keith is survived by his daughters, Joy and Emily; sons, Matthew and Noah; granddaughter, Maria Plumley; parents, Dwight and Mardell Ellis; 4 sisters, Annette (Rick) Sandquist of Fort Dodge, IA, Deanna Molby of Victorville, CA, Denise (Paul) Mumford of Johnston, Jeanette (Mel) Plascencia of Des Moines; numerous nieces and nephews; and the mother of his children, Alison Ellis.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2009 at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th, Des Moines. Visitation will one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of Keith.

We are very sorry and wanted to extend our sympathy to all of the family. It isn't natural to bury a child before the parent. He is at peace and free to love and serve the Lord in heaven. You know you will see him again when you get to that blessed place. God bless you all and give you peace and ease your sorrow.

For those of you who may not know me, I have been a close friend of Norma's since 9th grade. Mardel I am so sorry your boy is gone! I know you believe in the power of prayer and that is what I have been doing for your boy for a while now and I trust he is in the Heaven with Jesus today. My prayers will continue for Keith's family!
