Billie John Noah, 75, died Thursday, March 5, 2009 at Kavanagh House on 56th Street from a heart ailment. Billie will be cremated and no services are planned.
Billie worked at the Gamble Law Firm with Ben Webster for 40 years and volunteered at Woodlawn Elementary for several years.
Billie is survived by her husband of 53 years Jerry; daughters, Jeri (Kevin) McGinnis, Liz (Bill) Sullivan; grandchildren, Tabitha (Bob) Payton, Spencer and Maggie McGinnis, Abbie and Nikki Sullivan; great-grandchildren, Jared, Owyn and Piper Payton; sisters, Charlotte Herrmann, Rosemary (Bill) Schwab and Patty (Jim) Bullard.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League or Hospice of Central Iowa.

Thank you so much for letting me be part of the family for more than 35 years. As I had a family they became your family and that means a lot to all of us. I love you all and Gramma Billie will be missed more than anything. I have so many special memories of her and everyone in the family that will never be lost. Uncle Craig is ready to go fishing with Grandpa Jerry. We love you all more than you know.

We love you and are thinking about you as you say good-bye to a wonderful, funny, full-of-life lady. I know it is a sad time, but with much laughter intermixed. Your family was so much our family when we lived in Des Moines. I will expect an invitation to the Billie Bash whenever it happens!
