Lorraine Rock

Lorraine “Fetters” Rock, 90, of Des Moines passed away Thursday at the home of her daughter. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday, March 2, 2009 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street; visitation will be held two hours prior to the service. Burial will follow in Avon Cemetery.
Lorraine was born January 7, 1919 in Des Moines to Homer and Ellen Fetters. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Meeting Room. Lorraine was a homemaker her entire life and enjoyed reading, shopping, crocheting and attending church.
Lorraine is survived by her children, Marilyn Thomas of Mitchellville, Jim (Gayle) Rock of Hartford, Iowa and Jeanne Rock of Schofield, WI; her 10 grandchildren; her 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Rock; her parents; and her sister, Evelyn Hassellbacher.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army in loving memory of Lorraine.
