Raymond Sharpnack

Raymond Sharpnack, 78, died Friday, January 12, 2007 at Kavanagh House on 56th of congestive heart failure. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Dallas Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.Tuesday at the funeral home.
Raymond was born on August 28, 1928 to Margaret (Brown) and Harry W. Sharpnack in West Des Moines, Iowa. He married Betty McCullough of Melcher, IA in 1952. Six children were born to this union.
Raymond is survived by his daughter, Connie (Gene) Capehart of Des Moines; sons, Ron (April) of Altoona, John (Laura) of Des Moines and Gary Michael (Deanna) of Kellogg, IA; brother, Richard (Twila) Sharpnack of West Des Moines; sister, Eleanor Trickett of California; step-sister, Patty (Charles) Graves of Oregon; 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty, his parents, a brother, Thomas and sons, Jackie and Tommy.
