Virginia L. Collings

Virginia Lee Collings, 50, of Des Moines passed away on February 26, 2009 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home with burial following at Pleasantville Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 2-4 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Virginia was an avid reader, an animal enthusiast, loved garage sales and especially enjoyed spending time with her children. She is survived by her children Brad, Scott and Sarah Collings all of Des Moines, her mother Lee (Joe) Lang of Carlisle and her brothers Bill (Cindy) Vinson of Boone and David Vinson of Des Moines. She was preceded in death by her father Harry Vinson. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
