John Quinn

John Quinn, 76, was born September 17, 1932 in St. Mary’s, Iowa. He passed away Sunday, February 22, 2009 at University Park in Des Moines.
John served in the United States Navy until his honorable discharge in 1956.
John worked as a factory worker for Firestone Tires for 21 years. He was a member of All Saints Catholic Church.
John is survived by his sons, Luke of Des Moines, Timothy of Ankeny, Mark of Des Moines, and Matthew of Ankeny; a daughter, Ramona Hughes of Monticello, Iowa; his sisters, Mary Horstman of Newton, and Marilyn Dietrich of Toquerville, UT; his brother, Thomas of Runnells; 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. John was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 26, 2009 at All Saints Catholic Church, 650 NE 52nd Ave., Des Moines, with burial at the Pine Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 pm Wednesday, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of John.
