Susan Ruby

Susan Ruby, 46, of Des Moines died Friday, January 12, 2007 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City. Funeral services will be 12:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at Lee Town Assembly of God. Visitation will be 6-8 P.M., Monday evening at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Burial will take place in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
Susan was born July 11, 1960 in Des Moines. She enjoyed collecting dolls, flea markets, horseback riding, children, camping, bluegrass music, and loved spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. Susan Ruby and Mark Dank were the owners and operators of White Dove Wedding Service, of which Mark will be releasing doves at the cemetery.
Susan is survived by her significant other, Rick Downs; her brother, Mark (Tammy) Ruby; her Uncle Richard (Chris) Ruby; and her aunts, Norma Jean (Gary) Linn, and Anna Ruby; 15 nieces and nephews; and 19 great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lyndal Ruby Sr. and Gloria Ruby; and her brothers Lyndal Ruby Jr. and Mike Ruby.
