Frank Ezzio, 74, died at his home Monday, February 16, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, February 19, 2009 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Frank was born September 26, 1934 in Des Moines to Frank and Helene Ezzio. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Frank was a member of Altoona Assembly of God Church. He was a family man and enjoyed watching the wildlife and making model airplanes. Frank loved spending time with his kids and grandkids.
Frank is survived by his wife of 52 years, Margaret Ezzio; children, Frank Jr. (Tammy) and Chris Allen (Lori) Ezzio; sisters, Patricia (John) Pudans and Jeane Bainter; grandchildren, Michelle (Tyler Owens) Ezzio, Adam Ezzio, David (Ashley) Ezzio, Madison Ezzio and Aaron Ezzio; and great-grandchildren, Michael Lopez, Kylee Ezzio, Elizabeth Owens, Christopher Ezzio and one on the way. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Toni and his parents.
Memorial contributions may be made to Iowa Hospice.
