LeNora Mae (Henrichs) Saville age 84, a longtime resident of Des Moines, Iowa passed away at her home on July 8th, 2019. LeNora was born June 3, 1935 at home in rural Osceola, Iowa the daughter of Glenn Ervin and Ada Ionia (Albert) Henrichs.
She attended rural schools and graduated from Osceola High School. LeNora married Charles Arthur Saville on November 8, 1954 in Harrison, Arkansas. LeNora was a stay-at-home Mom until her children were in school then she went to work as a waitress in Des Moines during the school hours. LeNora loved meeting and talking with people near and far at her various waitress jobs over the years including the Imperial House, Holiday Inn and Kelly’s. LeNora was known for her kindness to people and always went out of her way to try and help. LeNora enjoyed being outdoors and spent time with Charles learning the ins and outs of muzzle loading, participating in competitive shoots and bringing home numerous trophies with Charles. LeNora also enjoyed her yard and planting flowers, tending a tomato plant or two, sharing her rhubarb with family, friends and neighbors along with simply sitting outside people watching. LeNora loved traveling and family vacations through the years. A memorable experience for LeNora she, and Charles, were able to travel abroad to Australia to visit her son and daughter-in-law who were living there. LeNora's entire life was focused on her love for her family and especially for her grand-kids, Jacob, Sarah, Reanna, Lisa, 'Charlie' and Allie which she enjoyed tremendously as they were growing up spending much time at Grandma's house. She looked forward to attending all their activities. In later years, although, physical limitations made it difficult for her to attend, her commitment to her family remained. LeNora was proud of her children and enjoyed when they came to visit her with the grands and greats. LeNora was known for her cooking of her homemade bread and especially her infamous, homemade Pizza Rolls which is now passed down to the kids and the grand-kids to make.
LeNora is survived by her children, her son Terry (Sharon) Saville of St Charles, Missouri; and their two daughters also of St Charles, Sarah Saville and Lisa Saville, her daughter, Barbara of Des Moines, Iowa formerly of Oskaloosa, Iowa and her daughter, Mary Trujillo (John) of Des Moines, Iowa; and their children Jacob Henning (Alyse) of San Antonio, Texas, Reanna Carlson (Colten) and their children Chloe Hagge and Izabella Carlson; John Charles 'Charlie' Trujillo and his fiance' Elizabeth Cromer, and Allie Trujillo all of Des Moines, Iowa. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Waunita Saville of Sierra Vista, Arizona, sister-in-law Jesse Mohr of Gowrie, Iowa and sister-in-law Nancy Saville of Creston, Iowa; and special friend Victoria Meade-Hammond of West Des Moines, Iowa along with extended family.
LeNora was preceded in death by her husband Charles, and infant son James; parents Glenn and Ada Henrichs; her brother Ernest Henrichs and his wife Ann; sister Ionia Henrichs; brothers-in law Ronald Saville, John Saville, Fred Mohr and Rudy Saville.
Visitation will be held at Hamilton's Southtown Funeral Home, located at 5400 SW 9th St Des Moines, Iowa on Thursday, July 11th, 2019 from 5 pm to 7 pm when family will be present.
Graveside service burial will be held on Friday, July 12th 2019 at 1:00 pm at the Rose Hill Cemetery located in Mt Ayr, Iowa
