Anita Louise Hubby, age 62, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at her home in Des Moines.

Anita was born June 9, 1957 in Guthrie Center, Iowa to William and Zella Houp. She worked for the Des Moines Public School System, serving lunches to children. She loved her family and enjoyed latch hook, crossword puzzles, and watching television.

She is survived by her children, Michael, Chanel, and Heather; six grandchildren, Raven, Michaela, Michael, Joshua, Mercedes and William; ten great-grandchildren, Zayden, Xavier, Raven, Jae’Sion, Lilly, Jaxon, Savanna-Gayde, Alyviah-Gayne, Gabriella and Izaiah. She is also survived by her siblings, Steve Houp, Dee Browning, BeKay Fields, and Paula Shroyer; many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

Anita was preceded in death by her parents, William and Zella; and her siblings, Francis, David, and Cindi.

There will be a Celebration of Life at Des Moines First, 2725 Merle Hay Road, Des Moines on Monday, July 8, 2019 from 2 to 5 p.m.

In remembrance of Anita, memorials may be made directly to her family.
