Richard A. Starr
June 30, 2019
April 10, 1954 – June 30, 2019
Richard Alan Starr passed away peacefully Sunday, June 30, 2019 at his home in Des Moines. Richard was preceded in death by his mother Phyllis Daniels, father Dick Starr, and brother Merle Powell. Richard has three daughters, Regina Starr, Jeri Starr, and Melinda Ebarb, son Joey Ebarb, 15 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and his lifelong friend Scott Anderson.
Richard was a jack-of-all-trades but he loved most to work on old cars and motorcycles. He was an adventure seeker - even if trouble was down that path, he was willing to take the journey. Richard loved to be with his family and tell stories. He will be missed greatly.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 5, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Richard.

My sincere condolences to the family. May you find peace and comfort in GOD's word. Acts 24:15 tells of the resurrection. Rev.21:3-5, tells us what GOD has in store for the future. GOD is near those who are crushed in spirit. Psalms 34:18.

I'm sorry to hear of the passing of your loved one Richard A. Starr. May the "God of comfort" assign peace to you today and in the days to come. ( 2 Corinthians 1:3,4) He yearns to reunite us with our loved ones and He will by means of a resurrection. John 5:25-29, "... the hour is coming when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God.... and come out to a resurrection of life." I hope these verses help you as you go through this difficult time.

For the time I knew him until he passed away. We had a lot of good times and a few bad. I helped him alot work on his cars and trucks. Never did get to ride any of his motorcycles. I can't believe he is gone I just talked to him a week ago. And we talked about what I was going to do for my birthday and I will be spending it at his side but not the way I hoped to. God love you Uncle Rick r.i.p. just hope you look down on us and watch over us all.
