She was very active in politics, working as a secretary for two Iowa Senators and even hosting President George H.W. and Barbara Bush in her home.
She enjoyed singing, playing the piano, reading, discussing current issues, playing tennis, snow-skiing, going to the Art Center, spending time at their Clear Lake house, and time at the YMCA Family Camp. She especially loved dancing with Bill. She will be remembered mostly for her immensely positive influence on her family and friends.
Marguerite is survived by her children: Dr. Kent (Lana) of Stockton, CA, Kenneth (Marcy) of Los Angeles, CA, Kaye (Richard) Lozier of Des Moines, and Dr. John (Cindy) of Madison, WI; her siblings: Vivian Williams, Eloise Frampton, Lucile Johnson, and Robert and Jack Sargent; her 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and one on the way. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Willard E. “Bill” Rogerson, her parents, and her brother Warren.
