Burdette Kelsey, 80, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2019, with loved ones by his bedside.

Burdette was born on January 3rd, 1939 to Kenneth and Wilma Kelsey. Burdette was born in Des Moines where he lived his entire life. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his dogs.

Burdette had many grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom he loved to play with and many nieces and nephews.

Burdette was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Debra Cox; and sisters, Bee, Deloris and Pauline.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria; his brothers, Bernard Kelsey and Kenneth Kelsey; sisters, Phyllis Bruner, Francis Kilpatrick, Kay Terry; his children; and his grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., with funeral service to begin at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, Des Moines.
