James went to join his daughter Martha (Marty) Wesley June 21, 2019. He was born October 5, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois to Adam and Edith Wesley. He was preceded by his daughter Martha Wesley, father Adam, mother Edith, brothers Bill Wesley and John Wesley.

He was a warehouse/freight manager and dispatcher for the majority of his life in Chicago, Illinois. For several different companies. He moved to Knoxville, Iowa in 2003 when he retired.

James loved traveling (especially to Hawaii), bowling, playing table games and gambling.

He is survived by his son Christopher Wesley and his wife Lynn. His daughters Laura King and her husband Eric, Carol Wesley and Pamela Wesley and her husband Richard Alster Jr. Eight Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren.
