Mildred Arlene Peitzman

Mildred Arlene Peitzman, 94, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 19, 2019, at Bishop Drumm Care Center in Johnston, Iowa. Mildred was born January 31, 1925 in Polk City, Iowa to John and Clara Lehman.
Millie was a devoted wife to Don for nearly 67 years. Together they raised three sons, Dennis, Robert, and James. She was especially fond of her three grandchildren, Jodi, Jenna, and John. Millie had a deep faith in Christ, and passed along a deep abiding faith in God to her children, grandchildren, and friends.
During their married life, Millie and Don lived in Johnston and were active in the St. Paul Presbyterian Church for most of those years. Millie enjoyed gardening, growing and arranging flowers, and taking walks with Don. She lived at McAuley Terrace in Johnston for 13 years, and she loved spending time with her many friends there.
Millie is survived by her three sons, Dennis Peitzman, Robert (Brenda) Peitzman, and James Peitzman; grandchildren Jodi (Regi) Corbin, Jenna (Marco) Frattarelli, and John (Brooke) Peitzman; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Marvin Lehman; and other loving family and beloved friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and two brothers.
A Memorial Service will be held in her honor at 11:00 am on Friday, July 12, 2019, at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway, West Des Moines. A lunch and visitation for family and friends will follow the service.

so very sorry for your loss. millie was so positive, kind and caring. I remember her well from st. paul and McCauley. I was in Canada and was unaware.
