Norma M. Sheets

Norma Mae Sheets, 91, passed away on June 17, 2019, at Parkridge Nursing and Rehab Center in Pleasant Hill. She was born in Hammond, IN, on April 19, 1928, to Earl and Orpha Robertson.

Norma worked as an Insurance Specialist at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. She loved shopping, especially at Kohl’s, going out to eat and spent many hours at the ballpark watching her grandkids.

Norma is survived by her daughters, Karen McDaniel and Judy (Beaner) Little; grandchildren, Matt, John, Ben, Dani, Leah, Joe, Katie, Robert and Nicole; 15 great-grandchildren; and 2 great great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Irene Halter. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Cheryle; son, Ron; infant grandson, Michael; granddaughter, Tara Overmyer; husband, Roy Hancock; husband William Sheets; and step-son, Jack Sheets.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, June 21, 2019, at Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home, 105 4th Street SW, Altoona, with burial to follow at Altoona Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Thursday evening from 5-8 p.m., also at the funeral home.
