James Costain

James (Jamie) Martin Costain was born August 30, 2003 in Leon, Iowa to Joseph and Diana Costain. He grew up in Aransas Pass, Texas, where he made lifelong friendships all along his journey. While he participated in many activities throughout his school years including UIL, football, tennis, and track, James' heart belonged to basketball. His drive and loyalty were always focused on his team.

James came into this world with a smile on his face, laughter in his heart, and music in his soul. He was funny, sarcastic, inquisitive, and smart. The light in his eyes always held a little bit of mischief and he was always up for trouble or fun, or preferably both. He loved hanging out with his friends, going to youth, listening to music and singing with his sister, and playing video games with his dad and brother, Jacob. He'd do anything to bring smiles to his loved ones.

James went home to meet his God on June 15, 2019 after having suffered from a massive asthma attack. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Audrey Costain, his great grandmother Donna Fenter, and his great grandfather Joseph Swift.

James is survived by his parents Joseph and Diana Costain, his brothers Kyle Magana and Jacob Costain, his sister Danielle Costain, his grandparents Donald and Teresa Horneff, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins - all of whom will carry him in our hearts forever.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 29th at First Baptist Church of Aransas Pass, Texas. 627 S. Houston St. Aransas Pass, TX 78336.
