Thomas H. Perry, Sr. was born August 24, 1916 in St. Louis, MO. He died February 9, 2009 at Taylor House in Des Moines. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Tom retired as a semi driver for Fawn Engineering. He enjoyed salmon fishing and traveling. Tom was also a member of Cutty’s Campground. He was a lover of history and enjoyed reading Westerns.
Tom is survived by his wife of 33 years, Theresa of Des Moines; son, Tom Perry, Jr. of Des Moines; daughter, Sandy Holland of Windsor Heights; step-children, Dianna (Rodney) Wallace of Pleasantville, Rick (Carol) Hardy of Norwalk, Nanette Hardy’Caswell of Urbandale and Kellie (Charles) Detrick of Radcliffe; grandsons, Robert and Karl Fenner of Gulf Breeze, FL; 11 step-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, 17 step-great-grandchildren and a step-great-great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Fenner and grandson, Everett Fenner of Gulf Breeze, FL.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Taylor House.

Dad, I can't believe that you are gone. You went through a lot these past few years. I thought about you every day and asked mom about you all the time. Now, I know that you are safe and will be. We will keep an eye on mom and take care of her. I thank you for taking on an already made family. I love you and thank you for the good times. :)
