Keith Reichert

Keith LeRoy Reichert, 67, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, February 5, 2009 at the Iowa Health Hospice Taylor House. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 9, 2009 at West Des Moines Christian Church, 4501 Mills Civic Parkway in West Des Moines.
Keith was born January 10, 1942 in Britt, Iowa, the son of Irwin and Bernice (Alm) Reichert. He was employed by Dahl’s, Easter’s Super Valu and retired as a District Manager from Casey’s General Stores. Keith was a longtime member of West Des Moines Christian Church. He enjoyed his family and spending time with his grandchildren and attending their activities.
Keith is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Kathleen “Kitty” Reichert; his four daughters, Kellene (Dennis) Ridgway, Kristin (Scott) Etter, Karyn (Brad) Downing and Kimberly (Dwayne) Bailey; 12 grandchildren, Andrew, Christopher and Samuel Ridgway, Nicholas and Abby Etter, Michael, Mason and Macalister Downing, and Emma, Sierra, Wyatt and Gunnar Bailey; sister, Rita (Allen) Stalter; many nieces, nephews and special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will greet friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, February 8, 2009 at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway, West Des Moines. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to West Des Moines Christian Church in loving memory of Keith.
