Arthur L. Millard

Arthur Millard, 64, died February 4, 2009 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born July 22, 1944 in Des Moines. Arthur was a self employed contractor and also worked as a veterinarian assistant. He enjoyed woodworking and quarter horses.
Arthur is survived by his wife of 47 years, Colleen; sons, Curt, Pat and Terry Millard; brothers, Ted and Doc Millard; sisters, Darlene Bale, Lola Titus, Bette Morris, Missy Karasek and Joy Real; grandchildren, Kenneth, Kyle, Kati-Ann, Kodi, Kevin, Brian, Noah, Chris and Ashley; and great-grandchild, Alissia. He was preceded in death by his parents; Arthur and Darlene Millard; daughter, Lorri Millard; and brother, Punk Millard.
A Celebration of Life Open House will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, February 8, 2009 at the East Gate Lodge, 2501 E. Grand in Des Moines.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
