Service Details
Ellsworth E. Gustafson, “Gus” 86, died peacefully Sunday, February 1, 2009 at University Park Nursing and Rehab. His funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 6, 2009 at Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home. A private burial will be held at Rising Sun Cemetery.
Ellsworth was born September 4, 1922 in Batesville, AR to Neota and William Gustafson. He worked as a Special Agent in the FBI before his retirement in 1977. After retirement, he enjoyed private investigation, farming, and beekeeping.
Ellsworth is survived by his loving wife, Nancy; his children: Claudia (Rodney) Francis, Steven (Sue) Gustafson, Eric (Marian) Gustafson, and Lona (Timothy) Kuser; 5 grandchildren; and his sisters: Pat Howard, Harriett Sloan, and Mavis Pigford. He was preceded in death by his sisters: Willota Wittkowski, and Lenore Van Gorp, and his brother Eugene Gustafson.
Visitation will be 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 5, 2009 at the funeral home.

Dear Nancy,
We are very sorry to hear of your loss. What a wonderful hope we have to look forward to in the future when our Father, Jehovah, will reunite us with our loved ones. Even though we only met Ellsworth once he was a real joy to visit with. Keep up your good spiritual routine and Jehovah will help you get through this time of need. You are in our thoughts and prayers. We will look forward to seeing you again in the future.
