Isabel Raymond

Isabel Kime Raymond, 106, of Scottish Rite Park died there Saturday. A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at the Scottish Rite Park Penthouse.
Mrs. Raymond was born in Fort Dodge, October 26, 1902, the daughter of Dr. J.W. Kime and Dr. Sara Pangburn Kime. She graduated from the University of Iowa and married Dr. Thomas C. Raymond on August 24, 1929. She resided in Storm Lake until WWII when her husband was stationed in Macon, Georgia with the U.S. Army Dental Corps. She then lived in Des Moines until her death.
She was a member of Central Presbyterian Church, Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority, PEO Chapter GU, and the Des Moines Women’s Club.
Survivors include her daughter, Suzanne (Mrs. Minor Barnes) of Aiken, SC; her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Judy Raymond of Ankeny; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Thomas C. Raymond, and her son, Dr. Thomas C. Raymond, Jr.
