Pearl Moon

Pearl Lois Moon, 71, passed away June 10, 2019 at Rehabilitation Center of Des Moines.
She was born January 18, 1948 in Marshall, Missouri to Virgil and Pearl (Lawrence) Patton. Pearl worked as a certified nurse’s assistant. She loved reading, gospel music and even sang in a gospel group called Spiritual Lights. Above all, she had a vibrant soul and an extraordinary heart, one of which “loved to love.”
Pearl is survived by her daughters, Rushell (Johnny) Bynum, Andrea (Dana) Moon, and B.J. (Bambi) Moon-Dameron,; mother, Pearl Vandever; 10 siblings: Barbara Frazier, Lenora Bradley, James (Cindi) Patton, Virgil (Mitzi) Patton, Freda Williams, Stanley (Pam) Patton, Phillip (Tina) Patton, Lynn Patton and Joseph Patton; grandchildren, Angela Baker, Xavier Wright, Xayden Dameron , and Kaylee Dameron, and; 2 great-grandchildren: Xavier Wright, Jr. and Xaybion Wright; sister-in-law, Dora Butler; and a host of extended family and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Moon; father, Virgil Patton, Sr.; and sister, Kimberly Patton.
The family will greet friends from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 14, 2019 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 p.m. also at the funeral home.

My heart goes out to Pearls family. She definitely loved to love. She has been part of what has helped me when I lost my dad. Her smile her laugh her caring spirit made my day. She will be missed by so many. Will alway love and forever miss my sweet Pearl... I can hear her giggle now.
