Connie Gail Murphy, 45, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at the Taylor House. Connie was born August 30, 1963 to Darrell and Betty Hulet Murphy in Columbia, MO
Connie was employed at Iowa Public Television and enjoyed reading and crafts. She was a member of the Federated Church in Bondurant and a member of Women United for Women.
Connie is survived by her son John Murphy; her mother Betty Murphy; her father and Step mother Darrell and Anna Murphy; brother John (Cheryl) Murphy; step-brother Jessie; step-sister JuliAnn (Kirby) Putizer and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 31, 2009 at Federated Church in Bondurant, 103 2nd Street SW, Bondurant. Visitation will be Friday, 5-7 pm at the Altoona Funeral home.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Taylor House or Women United for Women in loving memory of Connie.

John it's been a long time since we have seen you, however my dad and your mom were married (Woodie Amos) and Im very sorry for your loss, I wish we could've seen you guys more often, I know your mom is in a better place, however it dont take the pain away... To John and the Family of Connie,
I want you all to know that Connie was one of the sweetest and kindest people I ever met and certainly a joy to work with at Iowa Public Television.
John, we are one of the families that benefited from your cooking days when you were making Mexican food with your mom to earn money. I think it was a Scout project she was helping you with? My boys were very young at the time and they thought that was pretty cool for a mom and son activity.
Your mother was VERY proud of you.
