Donald Johnson

Donald T. Johnson, 93, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at Bickford Cottage in Urbandale.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, February 2, 2009 at Highland Park Christian Church, 4260 N.W. 6th Dr. with burial at Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St.
Don was born June 22, 1915 in Des Moines to Tina and Ed Johnson. He owned and operated Don Johnson Pharmacy for over 30 years. Don was a member of Highland Park Christian Church, the Elks Lodge, Za Ga Zig Shrine and Auburn Masonic Lodge. He loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed bowling, golf, hunting, fishing and playing pool.
Don is survived by his son, Bill and Lynne Johnson, his grandchildren, Melissa (Brett) Wilson and Kelsi Johnson, his son, Dave and Barb Johnson, his grandchildren, Erika (Alex) Johnson-Jimenez and Bryce Johnson. Don’s great grandchildren, Gregoria Johnson-Jimenez, Karen Johnson-Jimenez, Elise Wilson, Max Johnson-Jimenez and Mason Hunter.
Don was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude Johnson
Memorial contributions may be made to Highland Park Christian Church or the Shriner’s Children Hospital.
