Jerry Lee Cherryholmes

Jerry Lee Cherryholmes, 63, passed away at his home January 26, 2009. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, January 30, 2009 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with inurnment at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Jerry proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam on board the U.S.S. Coral Sea from 1965 to 1969. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 2005 where he had been a letter carrier for 35 years. Jerry was an avid Iowa Hawkeye and Chicago Cubs fan.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Patty; daughter, Jenny (Patrik) Gibbons; grandchildren, Christian, Noah, Jillian, Katelyn and Emily; and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his twin brother and his parents.
Jerry will be remembered as a loving husband and devoted father and grandfather.
