William Davis, age 84, passed away at his home on Tuesday, May 28, 2019. William was born on July 13, 1934 in Des Moines, Iowa. He was an East High School graduate. William met Edie on October 10th of 1975 and completely changed her life.

William enjoyed waking up early to make breakfast for the kids. Some of his hobbies and interests included: baking, fishing, woodworking and loved all pets especially his dog, Baby. Everyone who knew William knew he was a caring, giving man with a huge heart. He loved to run the food bank at church which helped feed thousands. Above all, he treasured time spent with his family.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Edith “Edie” Davis; children, Dixie Millard, Teresa (Jerry) Woolery, Jerry (Holly) Fazio and Andrea (Tom) Bianchi; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and sister, Jean Beck.

William was preceded in death by his parents, William and Opal Davis; and sister, Colleen Wilson.

Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 31, 2019, with funeral service following at 2:00 p.m., at Lee Town Assembly, 2720 State Ave., Des Moines.
