Sandra Kay Settje-Stephen

Sandra Settje-Stephen, age 66, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2019 at Mercy Medical Center, Des Moines. Sandra was born on November 20, 1952 in Columbus, Nebraska to Dorothy and Herman Settje Jr.

Sandra graduated from Southeast Polk High School in 1971. Some of her hobbies and interests included crocheting, shopping at Bath & Body Works, cutting coupons, playing Legos with her grandkids, and spending time with her dogs. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Bobby (Angie) Koeneman, Heather (Johnny) Ollin and Amber (Sam) Archer; grandchildren, Kaylee Lynn, Collin Koeneman, Meranda Ollin, Jadlyn Warner, Haley Winnike, AJ Ollin, Eriean Ollin, Maddux Biga, Maverick Biga, Sammijo Archer, and Henry Archer; her great-grandchild, Tres; sister, Rita Moore; brother, Billy Settje; her nieces and nephew, Tina Settje, Taylor Settje, Kayla Settje, and Chris (Meghan) Settje; as well as other loving family and friends who will miss her so much.

Sandra was preceded in death by her father, Herman Settje, Jr. and her mother, Dorothy Wellborn.

Celebration of Life will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines. Inurnment to be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Animal Rescue League in memory of Sandra.
