Frances Wilhelmina Griggs, 92, passed away on May 20, 2019. She was born July 17, 1926 in Des Moines to Fred and Helen (Tollenaar) Raschke.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Richard Griggs, Sr.; children, Richard Griggs, Jr. and Nancy (Michael) Grady; grandchildren, Martin (Sherry) Griggs, Cynthia Griggs, Kari (Mike) Staub, Joseph Griggs, Melanie (Carlos) Bialet, Carrie Grady, Kristal Dotson and Ryan Dotson; great-grandchildren, Lauren (Ian) Stuyvenberg, Courtney Griggs, Garrett Griggs, Kingston Griggs, Gabriel Griggs, Riley Dotson, Ryan Dotson, Skyler Bialet, Desmond Staub and Jasper Staub.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Barrett; twin brother, Fred William Raschke; daughter-in-law, Mary Diane; and her parents.
Memorial services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home, 105 4th Street SW, Altoona with visitation 1 hour prior to services.
