Lois Ann Sprott, (Sue) 68, of Ankeny, formerly of Bouton and Woodward, Iowa passed from this world on May 9, 2019 surrounded by her children.

Sue was born in Youngstown, Ohio on December 7, 1950. In 1967 she met and fell in love with her first love and High School Sweetheart, John Sprott. She graduated from Narbonne High School in California the spring of 1969 and married John June 27, 1969. They started their family in California, before moving to Iowa in 1979 where they finished raising their five children. John and Sue were married for 38 years until John’s passing in November of 2007.

Sue’s occupations over the years included homemaker, in-home day care provider, Asst. Director of Woodward Child Care Center, and Avon sales associate for many years where she enjoyed the socialization with her customers. She was a member of the Bouton Fire Department and EMT for years alongside her husband John. Later in life she returned to school and received her degree in Dietary Management and worked for several nursing homes including Perry Health Care Center where she retired from in 2008. In 2012 Sue was married once again to Charles Howard and settled in Ankeny, IA.

Sue loved crafts, in and outdoor gardening, baking and spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Sue is preceded in death by her first husband John Sprott, her father Lester Parshall, her stepfather Ronald Jones, and sister Deborah Jones.

Sue is survived by her husband Charles Howard, Mother Kathleen Davis, brother Donald (Bobbiesue) Jones, sister Kathleen Boaz, sister LuAnne (Mark) Mudrick, her children: Amie Boudreau, Kellie (Craig) DeHoet, Christopher (Twila) Sprott, Shellie (Ben) Crawford, and Shawna Sprott, as well as sixteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Sue touched the lives of so many and will be missed and remembered fondly by all who knew her. A Celebration of Life will be held at Hamilton on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westtown Parkway in West Des Moines on Tuesday May 14, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Memorials may be given to the family towards the final resting place for John and Sue.
