Barbara Robins

Barbara Robins, 81, passed away May 7, 2019 at Mercy One Medical Center.

Barbara was born November 15, 1937 in Imogene, Iowa. In 1956, she married James May and to this union their son Richard was born. Barbara later married Larry Robins. She was a homemaker and a church secretary for several years. Barbara loved watching Johnny Carson with her son when he was growing up. She liked traveling and was an avid Iowa Hawkeye and Iowa State Cyclone fan. Barbara loved the Peanuts characters, especially Snoopy. She also enjoyed spending time with her family.

Barbara is survived by her son, Richard (Deanna) May; granddaughters, Amy (Bobby) Gilliam and Carrie (Luc) DuBay; great-grandchildren, Daniel and Leslie Gilliam; brother, Loren Jones; and a host of dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Myrle and Margaret Jones; brother, Charles Jones; and her husband, Larry Robins.

The family will greet friends Monday, May 13, 2019 from 11 am to 12 pm with the funeral service at 12 pm at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Barbara will be laid to rest at Forest Cemetery in Oskaloosa.
