Service Details
Sean Deugan, 27, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at Calvary Baptist Church in St. Charles, Iowa with burial at St. Charles Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.
Sean is survived by his parents, Jeanne and Robert; brothers, Edwin, Josh (Gloria), Paul, Matthew and Kieran Deugan; sisters, Charlene (Dan) Wade and Sara Deugan; and his nieces and nephew, Norah, Lannah and Owen Wade.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Sean.

Sean made a big impact on my life whether he knew it or not. I met him through some friends about 4 or 5 years ago when I was in the college group Impact at Saylorville. I consider him my best guy friend at the time. We always had good talks and lots of fun whether we were riding, playing cards, watching movies, or him just making fun of me when I said "Do I really?" Thinking of it now makes me smile. He always knew how to lighten up a room with his jokes and laugh and one-liners. Sean will be greatly missed.
As for you- Sean's family- know that I am praying for each one of you by name. I pray God's peace and comfort during this time and also for encouragment. I couldn't be there physically to support you today but know that I was there in spirit and praying through the service for you and others there. Right now I pray this blessing for you from Numbers 6:
"The Lord bless you and keep you;
the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you;
the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace."

Oh, Bob & Jeanne. I was shocked when I saw Sean's name in the Des Moines Register. I am so sorry.
No parent should ever have to lose a child, should they? That's just not the right order. But God's timing is not our timing, is it?
We will be praying for God's comfort for you & your family.

I met Sean through Impact at Saylorville Baptist Church my first year in college. We hit it off instantly and maintained our friendship through the past 6 years. I will always remember his smile and the loving way he made fun of me for stupid things. He had an amazing heart!
May the Lord bless you and keep you and make His face to shine upon you and give you His peace.
I will forever love Sean and will miss spending time with him. My prayers and spirit are with you all.

I met Sean through church at Capitol City Baptist and Saylorville Baptist. Words cannot express how very sorry I am for your loss. I pray that God gives you the strength and comfort for the days to come.

So very very sorry to hear of Sean's death. Our deepest sympathy to Bob & Jeanne and to all their children and families in their loss. We knew Sean when his parent were at Calvary Baptist Church of St. Charles, Iowa. We love this family and care about them. Our hearts are heavy and we pray you will feel God's love and strength in these days of separation. Sean was a quiet kid (most of the time) and he will be missed by all of us but he never will be forgotten. Love to all of you.
