Harlan "Butch" Steen

Butch Steen, 76, passed away on April 28, 2019, at his home in Des Moines. He was born February 2, 1943, to Orville and Rhoda Steen.
Butch served in the United States Air Force until his honorable discharge in 1966. He worked at John Deere as a welder for 28 years and was a member of UAW Local 450. He enjoyed racing, especially NASCAR races.
Butch is survived by his daughters, Teri (Gene) Armstrong and Heather (Andy) Cook; grandchildren, Ashley (Ben) Murphy, Mendi (Scott) Bishop, and Joshua Armstrong; great-grandchildren, Zackary, Peyton, Araya, and one on the way; brother, Bob (Barb) Steen; as well as a host of other loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Marilyn; second wife, Peggy; grandchildren, Michael and Miranda; brother, Bruce Steen; and sisters, Gloria Davis and Virginia Branchcomb.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street in Des Moines, with graveside services to begin at 1:30 p.m. at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Animal Rescue League in loving memory of Butch.

Im hugging you all in my heart! I love him and I often think about the wknds when we would all hang out, and my dad and yours would impersonate bill Cosby and fat Albert.????love y'all
